1817 Single Leaf - O.106a R.3 PCGS AU 50 CAC

From the Kings Park Collection, offered in MB 55, lot 75, January 2023, bringing $3,000. Colors galore on this CAC approved Red Book variety. The luster, strike and eye appeal far exceed our expectations of an AU 50. Look carefully at the detail in Liberty’s curls and the eagle’s wings. Remarkable! This is the more common of the recognized trio of single leaves, 1812, 1814 and 1817. But in this condition? Estimate: $2,300 to $2,700
