A showpiece coin with dazzling strike and luster!  The reverse flaunts prooflike surfaces.  PCGS adopted the low end of possible grades.  The coin never circulated.  With a loupe and some imagination, you might detect cabinet friction on the cheek.  The reverse will reject such efforts.  I’ve said that high-grade R.5s are caviar to advanced collectors.  Here is a delightful ½ oz. helping.   Estimate: $4,500 and up
