1806 - Knob 6, Small Stars, O.106 R.4 PCGS AU53
Ex Dale Friend, noted on the PCGS label. A nice companion to the preceding Large Stars variety. The fields are deep grey with iridescent blue highlights. The lustrous devices exhibit light gold toning. The eagle's breast feathers are virtually full, displaying but a hint of friction. If we look at all grades, the Small Stars 1806 Knob 6 is scarcer than the Large Stars. The Small Stars Condition Census, however, includes 3 mint state examples and a pair of AU's. Est. $5,000 to $6,000.
