Untoned, with flashy luster. Worn dies account for the weak rims and drawn stars. Swirling reverse die breaks underline and bisect letters of the legend while a massive vertical break splits the coin in two. This is a marvelous remnant of the early Mint, coming to us with much the same look as the day in dropped from the coining chamber. Est. $1,000 to $1,500.
