1814 - O.103 R.1 PCGS MS 63
Ex Charles Link. An especially handsome example of the most common die pair of the year. The rich, iridescent blue-grey toning displays a gloss of gold, more so on the reverse. Heavy clash marks punctuate the obverse while a notable injury to the die connects the scroll and left wing – each a hallmark of the die pair. Acquired directly from Dr. Link in May 2012. Est. $4,000 to $5,000.
