The “113” is a killer R.5, usually seen in low grade and with problems. This was Tim Osborne’s set piece for over 30 years. He acquired it in the late 1980’s from Sonny Toupard, a well known dealer in Houston, TX. It is a handsome piece. Original medium grey toning blankets the surfaces. My late, great friend Henry Hilgard used to say, “Like grandma’s silver.” The strike is exceptional for the issue. You won’t find a nicer XF 40. Period. Tim passed the coin to his friend Tom Sears in June 2019.Estimate: $2,000 to $2,750
